About Us

Coastal Network of Positive People (CNP+)

CNP+ works to protect the rights, health, and dignity of people living with HIV, helping them overcome stigma and access essential support for a better quality of life.

In 2002, nearly ten individuals living with HIV/AIDS, who had faced stigma, discrimination, and related challenges, came together with a shared goal: to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV in East Godavari District. United by their experiences, they began working collectively to address these issues.
In November 2003, we formally initiated welfare activities in collaboration with community members affected by the HIV epidemic. What began as a small support network has grown into a strong and united voice for the rights of people living with HIV.
Today, we are recognized as a community-based, non-profit organization known as Coastal Network of Positive People (CNP+), dedicated to empowering individuals, advocating for their rights, and ensuring access …

World AIDS Day Rally

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the dedicated team from CNP+ under the Vihaan program actively participated in a rally to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. The event emphasized the importance of solidarity, stigma reduction, and support for people living with HIV. Staff members joined hands with community leaders, healthcare workers, and youth to spread key messages on prevention, care, and the right to health. This rally showcased our continued commitment to advocating for the rights and dignity of PLHIV.

World TB Day Program Meeting

On the occasion of World TB Day, a program meeting was held with the participation of the District TB Officer (DLO), ART staff, TB department officials, and CNP+ Vihaan staff. The meeting focused on strengthening TB-HIV collaborative efforts and raising awareness. Discussions included improving early detection, treatment adherence, and community outreach. CNP+ staff shared field experiences and emphasized the need for continued support to co-infected patients. The session reinforced a joint commitment to fight TB and support PLHIV effectively.

Candlelight Memorial Day Observed

CNP+ Vihaan staff, ART Medical Officers, NGO Project Directors, counselors, and DCPU officials came together to observe Candlelight Memorial Day. The event was held in remembrance of those lost to HIV/AIDS and to support those living with it. Mr. Ram Mohan Rao, President of CNP+, led the gathering and shared powerful words of hope and solidarity. Participants lit candles and renewed their commitment to fight stigma and discrimination. The event strengthened unity among stakeholders working for the welfare of PLHIV.

Advocacy with PSACS Officials for PLHIV Pensions

Mr. Ram Mohan Rao, President of CNP+, held an advocacy meeting with PSACS officials to discuss pension support for people living with HIV. The aim was to ensure access to government welfare schemes that provide financial assistance. He emphasized the urgent need for regular pensions to improve the quality of life of PLHIV. Officials responded positively and assured follow-up action. CNP+ remains committed to securing the rights and dignity of the community.

Sensitization Meeting with Y.G.R Care

A sensitization meeting was conducted with Y.G.R Care Organization to discuss testing and nutrition support for Children Living with HIV (CLHAs). Sri Ram Mohan Rao, President of CNP+, participated and emphasized the importance of regular health monitoring and nutritional care. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration for better service delivery to CLHAs. Key strategies were shared to improve access to testing and essential support. The session concluded with a joint commitment to enhance child-focused HIV care.
